Technical Consultation on the Alternative Transitional Registration (ATRm) for UK REACH
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has issued a ‘technical consultation’ seeking comments on draft legal provisions to introduce ‘policy conclusions’ set out in the Government response to the 2024 consultation, on the UK REACH Alternative Transitional Registration Model (ATRm). CHCS members can read more on our News Briefings page. [Posted on 6 October 2026]

Consultation on proposed changes to the control of Gamma Butyrolactone and 1,4-Butanediol

EU provisional agreement on the Chemicals Omnibus Proposal
Following the negotiations between the representatives of the three EU institutions an agreement on the compromise text was reached as regards to simplification of certain requirements and procedures for chemical products. Substances of Very High Concern added to UK REACH Candidate List

Consultation and Call for Evidence: UK Fertiliser legislation

Proposed changes to Annex 1 of the GB Persistent Organic Pollutants regulations

Government Publishes Response to UK REACH Chemical Registration Reform Consultation

Endocrine Disruptors - 1st CHCS Video

We have produced our first video for members: "Endocrine Disruptors", which is available to members free-of-charge.

This introductory video explains the various components of the human endocrine system and how they interact, to help understand the mechanisms of endocrine disruptors on human systems.

The video is just over 10 minutes long.
