Webinar: In Vitro Skin Corrosion Testing

We are pleased to announce that Founder and CEO of vegan testing lab XCellR8, Dr Carol Treasure, will be presenting a new CHCS webinar on 21 January 2020.

XCellR8 is the only lab globally to have eliminated animal components from all of their safety tests, and in this interactive session, Carol will focus on their regulatory in vitro skin corrosion test.

Attendees will learn how the test works, how it can be used within your animal-free testing strategy and updates on recent regulatory changes around the transport of hazardous substances.

CHCS members can register now, free-of-charge and we'll be sending out more information soon.

Dr Carol Treasure

Dr Carol Treasure is the Founder and CEO of XCellR8, an in vitro testing laboratory in Cheshire, UK. XCellR8 conduct regulatory in vitro safety tests for global chemical and cosmetic ingredient manufacturers as well as high street retailers including Lush and The Body Shop.

Carol holds a PhD from the FRAME Alternatives Laboratory at University of Nottingham, based on skin cell biology and reconstructed skin models for cosmetics testing. She has devoted her career to using innovative science to replace animal testing over the past 25 years.

Carol founded XCellR8 in 2008 with a mission to accelerate the world’s transition to 100% animal-free testing. In a world first, XCellR8 combines established regulatory methods with a unique animal-product-free strategy, delivering testing programmes that are both scientifically and ethically advanced. The company’s work has been recognised at a regulatory level by the OECD and by top funding bodies such as Innovate UK and Horizon 2020.
